Shanling launched the EA5 Plus combo device, which combines an integrated amplifier, DAC, network streamer, and headphone amplifier in one.
The power amplifier is built on 100AS2 modules from ICEpower, the output power in stereo mode is 55 watts into 8 ohms and 100 watts into 4 ohms, and two pairs of full-size screw terminals are provided for connecting speakers on the rear panel.
The D/A converter is based on Asahi Kasei‘s AK4493EQ chip and features several switchable digital filters, PCM signals up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD512 native stream, as well as MQA files, are supported. The headphone amplifier has an output power of 570 mW at 32 ohms, there is a 6.35 mm jack for connection on the front panel. On the top panel of the device is a 4.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, through which you can control the built-in player and other functions.
The Shanling EA5 Plus Network Music Center is on sale online for US$980.
